Tuesday 15 May: Booking for this event has been very strong, with all but a few ‘downstairs’ seats sold. We have therefore decided to open the Circle to singers at the reduced price of £25 per seat. An amended booking form has been uploaded.

Come to the Royal Albert Hall and be part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad—join us for the world première of Karl Jenkins’ Olympic-inspired work: Gods of Olympus. Against the backdrop of ‘London 2012’, Jenkins has used his own ‘mythical’ language to depict four of the ancient Greek deities: Zeus, Hermes, Aphrodite and Hephaestus. Anyone who sings, and is able to do some homework on their own to learn the notes, is invited to be part of this exciting event: download the booking form (follow the links above) and come and join in!
We were delighted to learn that this concert had been awarded an ‘Inspire’ Mark by the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games, and could therefore claim affiliation to the Cultural Olympiad. The evening will also feature Jenkins’ celebrated work The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace, and the concert will start with an orchestral favourite: Eric Coates’s London Suite.
As well as two rehearsals on the day (11.00 am and 2.30 pm), there will be a singing workshop on 16 June for anyone who feels they would benefit from some help with learning the notes: click here to find out more.
Additional information about this concert (featured artists, supported charity, etc) can be found here.
